The Jamec Pem Story
Australian Industrial Brand | Experts for Over 90 Years
Jamec Pem is an iconic Australian industrial brand with a heritage dating back to 1937. Founded by Jim Morris as JA Morris Engineering, the business evolved into Jamec Tools in 1951, building a reputation for producing high-quality air tools during the 1930s and 1940s.
During World War II, the company became a key supplier to the aircraft industry, reinforcing its commitment to precision engineering and reliability. In the years that followed, the focus shifted to airline fittings and the development of the renowned 310 and 320 series, products that remain part of the range today.
In 1984, the acquisition of Pem Tools—alongside JDS Morris—brought together three respected businesses under one name: Jamec Pem. This marked a pivotal step in expanding the brand’s footprint and strengthening its position within the Australian market.
Today, more than 90 years on, Jamec Pem continues to design and engineer many of its core products in Australia, ensuring innovation, durability and performance remain at the forefront. What began as a local manufacturer has grown into a globally recognised brand, with distribution across Australia, North America, Europe, the United Kingdom and South Africa.
From tyre inflation equipment and air tools to hoses, couplings, fittings, oils and workshop essentials, Jamec Pem products are built on a foundation of Australian know-how and engineering expertise.
Quality components, longevity of use and value for money remain the hallmarks of every Jamec Pem product. We sell on quality.
